  • Calling all Supply Teachers!

As the new academic year is set to begin, Hoople is on the hunt for teachers of all age groups to join its Supply Teacher register for roles throughout Herefordshire, starting in September.

We have organised a free, no obligation drop-in session for interested teachers, taking place on Thursday 27 August from 12.30 pm at Plough Lane, Hereford.   Our specialist advisers will be on hand to answer any questions and to offer advice on all aspects of working for Hoople as a supply teacher.

The drop-in session is also open to those who are looking for teaching assistant and non-teaching, schools-based opportunities, for example office and administration workers, caretakers and cleaners, mini bus drivers, school crossing patrol workers and catering staff.

For further details and to register to attend, please contact us.  Alternatively, you can register on line here

Those who are unable to attend the drop-in session but are interested in supply teacher or other schools-based vacancies are also encouraged to contact the agency.

Hoople Resourcing works with over 70 schools and academies in Herefordshire.  Kelly Hughes, Senior Recruitment Consultant (Schools) says: “We work closely with Herefordshire schools and academies to help them with their recruitment needs.  We are always on the look out for enthusiastic and dedicated  teachers with a flexible approach and strong classroom skills to join our supply teachers’ database, as well as candidates who are interested in working more generally in schools.  I am looking forward to hearing from anyone who is interested in joining us.”
  • Happy Birthday Hoople Resourcing!

Hoople’s recruitment agency, Hoople Resourcing, based on Blueschool Street, Hereford, celebrates its third, or ‘leather’, anniversary in May.

Initially established to be the main provider of temporary and permanent staff for Herefordshire Council, over the past three years Hoople Resourcing has expanded its services to a wide range of organisations across Herefordshire.  As well as continuing its close relationship with the Council, clients also include schools and academies,  healthcare providers, commercial businesses such as estate agents and solicitors, and a number of  not-for-proft organisations.

A major client is Taurus Healthcare whom Hoople has assisted to recruit over 80 team members.  Nikki Marriott, Interim Director of Nursing at Taurus says: “I would highly recommend Hoople.  They are consistently professional, friendly and helpful  and nothing is too much trouble for them.”

Since opening its doors in May 2012, Hoople Resourcing has filled more than  670 temporary placements within schools and other commercial organisations, many of whom have subsequently been offered permanent employment.

In addition to this, as a key partner to Herefordshire Council, no fewer than 600 temporary  positions have been filled through Hoople.  Anthony Sawyer, Information Governance Principal Officer at Herefordshire Council, says:  “The team are always extremely helpful, exceeding expectations of good customer service and efficiency with their friendly and helpful approach. We can always rely on them for all our recrui
  • Dash recommends Hoople's Resourcing Services

Drugs and Alcohol Service Hereford (DASH) have used Hoople Resourcing to source temporary specialist Drug and Alcohol workers and administrative staff for their Hereford based office.

DASH work with anyone aged 18 or over who is affected by a dependence on drugs or alcohol.  The service is commissioned as part of the county's mental health provision and is currently provided by 2Gether Foundation Trust.

The service is currently out to tender and as a result 2Gether have requested that vacancies be filled by temporary staff.  2Gether does have a staff bank facility, but this is mainly used for clinical rather than administrative appointments.

Following a meeting with Hoople Resourcing's Account Manager, Becky Dunsford, Hoople has placed several administrators and two specialist drug workers on a long-term temporary basis.  DASH say: "We have been very satisfied with Hoople's work.  They are a great local company who understand and are sympathetic to our needs."
