Our well established client are looking to recruit a Support Advisor (young people) to join their team. The Purpose of the role is to deliver an excellent standard of support and housing management to residents, who are vulnerable young people to enable them to sustain a tenancy and maintain independent living.
To empower and inspire young people to engage with education, training and employment opportunities.
The young people management function will operate seven days between the following hours:
09:00am to 10:00pm Monday to Friday
12:00 noon to 8:00pm Saturday
11:00am to 7:00pm Sunday
There will be a requirement to work 37 hours and shift patterns between the opening times
To complete support plans and risk assessments for individuals as appropriate and in meeting with both aspirations and objectives of the young person, external contract outcomes and corporate expectation to increase life skills.
To act as a key worker with individuals, providing relevant, regular and practical support to achieve support plan goals and outcomes.
Contribute to the service development to successfully prepare young people for independent living.
To deliver group sessions to increase life skills for all residents including cooking, budgeting, health and wellbeing.
Work in partnership with all other relevant services to support a young person holistically and sign post appropriately.
To understand and follow safeguarding procedures identifying and reporting safeguarding alerts where necessary to minimise the risk of abuse.
Manage viods in acordance with the viod and allocation procedures, carry out referral assessments to determine service eligibility and support needs and carry out viewing, pre-termination inspections.
Maintain records, written and electronic, provide outcome data, case studies and contribute information to reports relating to contracts and other reports as required.
To follow the housing tenancy management procedures to:
-Complete tenancy inductions for all new residents and ensure residents understand their licence agreement responsibilities
-Maintain regular contact with the residents to ensure effective tenancy management and address and breaches of tenancy
-Ensure all non-eligible rent and service charges are paid by residents and assist with completion of welfare benefits in a timely fashion to aviod arrears
-Issue warnings in accordance with procedures and licence management
-Record and follow reporting procedures regarding incidents including harassment, threat of violence or hate crimes
To carry out property inspections, complete health and safety assessments, follow fire evacuation plans and carry out regular testing equipment and report defects and repairs.
