Our well established client are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their busy team. The overview of the role is to provide support for the finance staff in order to enable ongoing business operations. It is a full time temporary role with a view to go permanent with the salary around £18,000 - £20,000.

Principal Tasks and Functions
• Process, by coding and categorising, receipts and invoices onto the purchase ledger
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Key data into the main accounting system (XERO at present)
• Exporting of data from online portals and then importing into the main accounting system
• Preparation of weekly and monthly payment runs
• Process employee expense reports
• Reconciling of bank and card accounts on a frequent basis
• Provide administration support to the Finance and other functions of the business as and when required
• Process customer payments
• Assist with credit control

General responsibilities
• Health and safety adherence
• Compliance with company ISO 9001 standards

Competencies and Qualifications
• Use of Microsoft packages, predominantly Excel
• Confident IT user

Performance management expectations
• Timely processing of daily and weekly data to ensure the Finance function is able to meet the timescales and deadlines expected of them by the Board of Directors.
